Lenten Fish Fries a Big Hit

The K of C Lenten fish fries have really taken off in the last 3 years. The new recipes and equipment have really paid off in larger numbers of people served. We are averaging around 230 people a week up about 30-40 over last year and 50-60 over previous years. We would like to thank all our pa- trons over the years for making this a worthwhile endeavor. Thank you also goes out to all who helped this year, we had a great crew headed by Brent Scheve. We also appreciate all that the Boy Scouts do to help us out throughout the season . If you have any suggestions or comments on things you might like to see in the future ,don’t hesitate to let us know. As you all know this money goes to scholarships for Catholic youths and for several other charities around the parish and around the world.

Speaking of college ,we want to make sure that all our students are aware of a program we sponsor called FOCUS, It is a program that is on most campuses that promotes Religion and good values, if you need any more info please call Gary @ 1-712-249-9001.

Here is Brent and Bob at our donation of 24 coats from the Coats for Kids program.

The school gives out these coats to children that are in need.  We found a few other programs that we will donate to thru the school.  It was a very eye opening experience.

As most everyone is already aware of ,the Knights and the Guild are delighted to be able to give out these scholarships. We had a good turnout this year and we are pleased to announce this year’s winners:

Zach Dotzler
Marielle Tepe
Charlotte Klein
Jacob Petsche
Abbie Riley
Chantelle Schmidt
Dirk Johnston

Congrats to them all !

WE would like to thank the Boy Scouts for all their help with the fish fries and now in the future with our highway cleanup project. We are at this time looking for a single brother or several brother knights to head up this project. This project is twice yearly and only takes a couple hours. Any help would be appreciated.
