The Commish Report – November 23, 3015

commish-header2Good morning everyone and since we are in Thanksgiving week, I’m thankful we seemed to dodge the big snow storm last Friday. In my opinion, what we got was enough to wet the winter taste buds, but I am glad it wasn’t more or worse. The snow-mobilers will have to wait to get their sleds out.
Lot of action this past weekend in football, especially for the Cyclones and Hawkeyes. If you didn’t see the end of the Cyclone game, you might not want to. It’s amazing the change of events within about 90 seconds on the play clock….good luck to Rhoads and the Cyclones this coming weekend, his last game as coach and good luck to him in the future. As for the Hawkeyes, they are still undefeated at 11-0 and will take to the road this week down I-80 to Lincoln for a Thanksgiving showdown. Good luck Ferentz and the Hawkeyes as it will be a good one.
As for last night’s game, the Patriots also remain undefeated in the NFL with a tough defense that helped gain the victory.
Game 12 results:
Home team New England Patriots — 20

Visiting team Buffalo Bills — 13
Winning book # 65

Group 1 winner — Eddie Goetzinger ( aka Bunker, it’s his 2nd win this year -a great supporter of all things local )

Group 2 winner — Jeff Crees ( hopefully his brother Dan will get these winnings to him )
Congrats to this week’s winners and we are now 2/3rds through the season, leaving 6 more games for those of us still looking for a win. I hope everyone enjoys this week of Thanksgiving with family and friends and all the activities going on throughout the whole week and weekend. Safe travels to you and your families for anyone traveling. I do wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and remember to do the math — Count your Blessings!!
Joe Z.
